James Owen Sullivan

James Owen Sullivan (February 9, 1981 – December 28, 2009), or The Reverend Tholomew Plague, often shortened to The Rev, was an American musician, best known as the drummer for the American hard rock band Avenged Sevenfold.

At the second annual Revolver Golden God Awards, The Rev won the award for Best Drummer beating out Chris Adler of Lamb of God, Brann Dailor of Mastodon, Dave Grohl of Them Crooked Vultures and Dave Lombardo of Slayer. The award was presented by Joey Jordison of Slipknot and Vinnie Paul of Pantera, with the latter winning the award the previous year. His family members and Avenged Sevenfold received the honour on his behalf.

Dream

I got a dream last nite. it quite weird. Coz , in a same dream , got 2 diffren story. haha.
oke oke. on dat dream , i meet avenged sevenfold. Man , they are so awesome !~ big guy who can rock the stage. i dunno where i met them but i met at the backstage. i was like , wow. that so cool to meet them , personally. they teach me how to play guitar better , tell me how to rock , play wif them. i never imagine i could dream like this. then they ask me to join their team. that was realy unbelievable. for sure the answer will be yes. haha.
and the other story , i met the arsenal team. oyeah. haha. what a great dream i ever had. they give me ticket to watch them live , give some goodies and the very special thing , a shirt wif their autograph. man ohh man , i realy wish that will come true -.-
ohh i also got this dream. 'she' told me dat i only her company when 'she' bored. when she bored , she will look out for me. this not true rite ?


they will never find a replacement for The Rev. i saw sum old picture of avenged and i saw syn hug the rev very tightly. that realy sad for them when they lost one of their brothers. RIP The Rev. We'll miss you foREVer

Them

Avenged Sevenfold is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California, formed in 1999. The band consists of vocalist M. Shadows, lead guitarist Synyster Gates, rhythm guitarist Zacky Vengeance , bassist Johnny Christ, and new drummer, Mike Portnoy.

The band sports a logo known as the "Deathbat". It was originally designed by an artistic high school friend of Avenged Sevenfold, Micah Montague, as seen on the band's first DVD, All Excess. The Deathbat has appeared on all of the band's album covers, many of which were done by Cameron Rackam, a close friend of the band. The Deathbat has developed from just being a skull with bat wings, to sometimes appear as a full "man size" skeleton with bat wings, as it can be seen at the cover of albums City of Evil and Nightmare and on singles "Dear God" and "Scream". On Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, there are pictures of two people (in which appear to be Cain and Abel), another angel-like human and a semi-opaque Deathbat below it, several Deathbats appear on the back cover of the album as well. The Deathbat also appears on covers of number of singles such as "Bat Country", "Warmness on the Soul" and "Critical Acclaim".
